Doc DrakLONGBOMB - THE BLOOD BOWL NEWSLETTER by Andy Hall
Issue 4
Greetings once again. I haven't been my usual jovial self recently. As
you
may have already learnt, Steve Hambrook, my equivalent who ran the
Mordheim
and Warmaster game systems, died two weeks ago. Even though Steve did
not
have any direct relevance to Blood Bowl in recent times he was not only
an
excellent Blood Bowl coach but also was the editor of the Blood Bowl
Compendiums, the forerunners to Blood Bowl magazine. Quite simply
without
Steve there would have been no Fanatic and no support for Blood Bowl
that
there is now. I'll miss him greatly, not only as a work colleague but
also
as one of my best friends. We have set up a book of condolence on the
Specialist Games website where you can leave your own message if you
wish,
the link is: www.specialist-games.com/cond.asp
NEWS
Blood Bowl Magazine 10 is now at the printers. The cover is my
favourite to
date, that of an evil looking wight. This issue covers the release of
the
Vampires and features a playtest match report, which I know will prove
extremely controversial. This issue's playbook is the Skaven (like they
need
any help!).
We are literally days away from this year's Rules Review. Even as I
speak
the Rules committee (that's me, Jervis, John Lewis, Dean Maki, Milo
Sharp,
Stephen Babbage and Chet Zeshonski) are preparing for a month of
frantic
emailing and heated debate. The results of the rules review will be
published on www.BloodBowl.com mid-November. The LRB3 should follow
shortly
after. Whilst updating the LRB I'm going to take the opportunity to
give the
text a clear up as well. So if you've spotted any spelling mistakes or
grammatical errors (perish the thought) then please feel free to let me
know.
The Blood Bowl tournament season continues apace with the Death Bowl
being
held in Montreal on the 18th & 19th of October. Brian St James, the
editor
of www.house-rulez.com has organised what looks to be a fantastic
tournament. Brian has committed many hours of effort and expense to
organise
this tournament so if you live in the Montreal area, or even further a
field
please come and support it. The event will be NAF sanctioned with
discounts
and benefits for NAF members. Oh, and I'll be there as well! So, if you
want
to talk Blood Bowl with guy who manages it and see some never before
seen -
anywhere - models then come to the Death Bowl. What's more the prizes
shown
on the Death Bowl website are nothing compared to what I'm going to
bring
for the winners! For more information visit the Death Bowl website here
www.house-rulez.com/db2003/db2003.html
Regular visitors to www.BloodBowl.com will have noticed a change in the
formatting of our forum. The new forums are easier to navigate and
follow
threads, there's also a decent selection of similes for the more
emotive
amongst you. If you've never been before it's worth it for a look and
to
chat will fellow coaches, joining only takes a few minutes and is, of
course, free.

Ya han enviado el Longbomb 4, entre otras cosas Andy Hall comenta que ya estan liados en la revision de las reglas y que estas se puplicaran a mediados de noviembre. Veremos con lo que nos sorprenden.
