"And now something completely different from what we had expect to write as a tournament report; despite the team final result respects more or less our expectation, the way it has come includes episodes that shouldn't happen in a world cup.
Lets start from the beginning, on thursday we came to the location to get the badges, gadgets and of course the skill rings;
we sent the rosters two mounts in advance to let the organizers crafting all the skill rings in time, and it turned out that the work wasn't complete yet.
Looking at the queue it was clear that at that point the staff should give up with the whole skill rings thing and continue the tournament letting the players to mark the skill as they have use to do before, but they didn't.
The queue was like 5 hours long the first day, and it continued in the morning with a big delay on the tournament schedule.
We are sorry to write that this is the first factor that gives a final negative experience from the tournament.
Go back on friday, we have to wait more than two hours to get the final pairings, even if a streamed pairing draft was done before the competition.
Finally we made the first game and... we still had to wait five hours for the second game.
We can understand that when software problems occur it may takes long time to fix these, but why not letting the players going to rest after a tiring thursday and morning?
So we made the second game totally not in the mood, and friday turned out to be even worse than thursday.
Last day1 game and the three day2 games are now all to be played on saturday, so again the players have to pay for the lack of the organization. Normally it is okay to sustain four games in a day, it is not the best option when the players come from two very tiring days.
It is at the end of game 5 that the worse of the tournament came. We were playing with azes team, we had the table in control with 6 points at 99% and badstorm at a score of 2-1 with not enough turns left to his opponent Silkoun to score two touchdowns.
Then, silkoun said that they had played one turn less than the badstorm counter was counting.
Badstorm remembered to silkoun that silkoun often had forgot to move the counter so that should be one of those situations, but silkoun, probably realising that he needs one turn more to win the game, decided to ask to a referee one more turn.
One referee came at the table and made his investigation to discover which one of the two players was lying. Badstorm had a clear version, while silkoun contradicted himself three times during the investigation, so evidently that the referee asked silkoun why he was contradicting himself with no answers.
Then the referee made the coward choice to roll a dice to estabilish which turn it was, even in front of verbal evidence of lying by silkoun.
We consider silkoun behavior totally unacceptable and unfair, and also we consider the referee system totally inadequate for such an event.
Considering that we were playing on table1, he shouldn't go for a random choice. This is still what it happened, and it cost us the round and the world title. We will never forget this, we will never forgive this. After that decision the game went on and silkoun continued to "forget" moving his turn counter each turn, and this to the referee wasn't still enough for being an evidence.
Last to mention about this episode, when we all understood what was up, we started an obvious and righteous verbal complain with the referee and silkoun; here is where the azes captain moved aggressively to yena and pushed him with the chest, looking for violence.
Again, we can't understand how the azes managed to finish the world cup with no red card. And in these days we find on french forums that the French comunity thinks they acted fairly, chapeau. Since we have nothing to hide we write in english, so every man involved in this episode may apologize with team Alfea for his wrong behaviour, as we have read too many gentlemen referring to us as cheaters, most of them not even knowing us.
After this we had to push more than what we deserved to get the tournament victory, so on table 1 last game, Diomlord can't save the tie in his match and has to go for the win (also due to a final snake eyes for 16th turn touchdown in ATP game), and he got a loss for a table loss. We lose correctly the final match to a strong opponent, with a final placement in fourth position."

Mmmmmmmhhhh... delicioso.

Life is short, block fast
